Pind daan as per Hindu belief is a ritual to offer homage to the departed soul. Badrinath is one of the most holiest place and one of the 4 dhams of hindus. Offering Pind daan at Badrinath to pitru gives them moksh.
Pind daan is done after taking a bath. It is required to wear white holy clothes during shradh karma like traditional dhotis, kurta, etc. Pind daan is done offering rice, jaggery, sweets, etc under the guidance and mantras of brahmins.
