Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirling of Lord Shiva. It is one of the most visited and most believed temple. Doing any kind of puja ritual in Kedarnath is believed to be much beneficial to the devotees. Shodashopachar puja is a ritual of worshipping Lord Shiva. This puja is performed during the evening time in the temple of Kedarnath. This puja has 16 mantras included in it which is chanted during the puja.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than abhishek of Lord Shiva is done along with the chanting of the mantras. All the 16 Mantras are chanted along with Puranik Mantras. Than the blessings of Lord Shiva is taken and the puja is completed.
