Rudrashtadhyayi is made of two words Rudra means Shiva and Ashtadhyayi means one with eight chapters, Shiva is included in these eight chapters. Although there are total ten chapters in Rudrashtadhyayi, but only eight are considered main.Rudrashtadhyayi is a part of Yajurveda and Vedas have been described as the best scriptures. Vedas are parts of Shiva only.
Rudrashtadhyayi puja of the most merciful Mahadevji can be done by any Brahmin who has learnt the mantras of Yajurveda Rudri from a Guru. Mantras of more than 8 chapters are read during this puja and also along with it Rudrabhishek is done.
