About Madya Maheshwar
Madhya Maheshwar or Madmaheshwar is one of the panch kedar temples. Located in Gaundar a village in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India it is a temple of Shiva. The middle part of the belly or navel of Lord Shiva is worshipped here by the devotes. It is believed that the temple was built by the Pandavas, after the Hindu epic war the Mahabharata.
