About Renuka Mata Temple
Renuka Devi Temple at Mahur in Nanded in Maharashtra is one of the important temples dedicated to Goddess Shakti. At Mahur Temple, the Murti worshipped is the head of Goddess Renuka Devi. The temple is said to have been constructed by a Yadava king of Devgiri about eight ot nine hundred years ago. The temple is also known as one of the shakti peeths in India. The devotees have to climb 200 to 250 steps to reach the temple.
