Santala Devi Temple

Santala Devi Temple is a center of faith for the devotees. Located in between dense green forest at a distance of 15 km from Dehradun city in Santur Garh, Santaula Devi and her brother are the dieties of the temple. It is believed that on realization that they would not be able to fight with Mughal Army, Santala Devi and her brother decided to abandoned their weapons and pray to God. As they were praying, a sudden light flickered and they turn into stones idols. After the incident a shrine was built in the fort itself.
