About Shankaracharya temple
The Shankaracharya temple is located on the Shankaracharya Hill in the city of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. This hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to be built during the 17th or the 18th century. But the Kashmiri Hindus strongly believe the temple was visited by Adi Shankara and has ever since been associated with him; this is how the temple and hill got the name Shankaracharya.
