Lord Jagannath is known as the Lord of the Universe. Lord Jagannath known as the supreme power and worshipping him along with his brother Balram and sister Subhadra is known to be very beneficial. Lord Jagannath is considered to be one of the kindest Gods he cannot see his devotees in pain and therefore he fulfils all their desires if they worship him with all their heart and mind. Lord Krishna is called Lord Jagannath when Krishna manifests highest form of transcendental emotions.
At first sankalp is made in the name of the devotee. Than the idols is decorated with flowers. Than offerings made to Lord Jagannath along with mantras. At last aarti is done of Lord Jagannath and his blessings are taken.
