About

Panchamrut Abhishek is a Hindu ritual where the god idols are bathed with panchamrut. It is performed at temples. Mantras are chanted throughout the process and once the pooja commences, the charnamrut is distributed as prasad.

Devotees must observe a strict fast throughout the day and consume milk and fruits during the day, if absolutely necessary. Panchamrut mantra is done along with the abhishek.
